MOAR
All video games, all the time:
- Command and Conquer 3 is now in my hot little paw. It features Billy Dee, Sawyer from LOST, Grace Park, and Michael Ironside. That’s a pretty weird gathering right there, but there you have it.
I was going to start playing last night but I got caught up in something else and there was no time. But today I’m cracking this sucka open.
- Your prayers have finally been answered: The Les Miserables Fighting Game. Developed in Japan by one guy, apparently. An interview with him exists here — scroll down for english.
I would really like a Sense and Sensibility side-scrolling beat ‘em up where you and a buddy play as the two sisters, delivering beatings as you traverse the English countryside. Or an Importance of Being Earnest space combat sim.

I’m not sure where I heard this, but I heard it recently and I agree: “Productivity is the basis of morale.”
Bakers need to be baking. Soldiers need to be out doing something and not sitting around. If you’re bored, go build a wall.
The next project begins now.
Summer
Summer has officially arrived in my part of the galaxy — it was 94 degrees today. I think that counts as “balmy”. It feels good on my face!!!
I finished my project today so I celebrated. The project-completion celebration is based somewhat on the project itself, so I had a pizza delivered. I would have liked to jump into Command and Conquer 3, but it’s not out for the Xbox 360 until tomorrow. It features Billy Dee Williams. This is no joke.
I’m feeling pretty good. My nose was to the grindstone for quite a while there, but when you look at all the pages and feel their weight — see that they have a real and lasting presence in this dimension — it’s pretty much worth it.
I Has a Bucket
Site of the Week: I Can Has Cheezburger.

This site combines cuteness with funny. A lethal combination! The state of human civilization has hit a bold new high. My favorites: We R Not Slipperz, HALP! I not Cheezburger!, and Babushka Cats are in ur Box bein old wimminz

Now halfway through this project. Just gotta keep on rolling.
Diet Coke Plus
I’ve started seeing Diet Coke Plus in stores. I’d like to give it a shot. As long as it tastes the same and doesn’t make me turn orange, I think they’re on to something.
People ask why I drink Diet Coke instead of regular Coke. Answer: When I first started working as a programmer, the office I was employed at had free soda. Everyone else was in their 40s and thus drank Diet Coke. And since I had spent my childhood drinking water, milk or OJ, Diet Coke was my first taste of soda. Today I’d rather have it than regular Coke (which tastes too weird).
In fact I need it. It’s my primary fuel source. Without it I would run out of Happy.

There have been a lack of posts here because I’ve been neck-deep in busy. But I’m now almost halfway through my current project and should be done in the next couple of weeks. Yay!
