They're both human and trying to deal with their humanity. That's pretty great. I wonder who they could get to play Khan in the next one. Knowing nothing about it going into the theatre, I was expecting shallow stereotypical characters plus a full hour of spaceships shooting at each other visual effects. But instead it was very character driven and I liked the writing a lot. I liked it too.
